NecroDancer speedrunning has been optimized to a point where speedruns revolve around simply glitching in a pack of holding full of descend scrolls.

Because of this, the winner of a race depends mainly on one’s ability to enter a seed quickly and accurately.

The seed entry metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the main factor to decide matches.
